I’m Jash Bains... a proud Mission resident, healthcare professional, elected School Trustee, community leader, and mother of three. My life and work have always been rooted in service, advocacy, and a commitment to making our community stronger and more inclusive.
I’m passionate about women’s empowerment, supporting families, creating opportunities for connection, and ensuring that everyone in Mission feels seen, heard, and valued.
As the Founder and President of the PMWS Society, I’ve had the privilege of creating programs, events, and opportunities that bring people together while supporting women and families in our community.
For me, community service isn’t just something I do, it’s a part of who I am. I believe that when we listen to one another, lift each other up, and work together, we can build a Mission where families can thrive, and everyone has a place to belong.
Mission is more than just where I live. Mission is home.
Mission is the community I proudly serve and call home.
I am a Mission Public Schools Trustee, Chairperson of my Local - representing workers at Mission Memorial Hospital and Chartwell, Vice-Chair of Mission Community Services, a member of the Rotary Club, and I serve on the Mission Arts, Culture and Diversity Committee. I am also a regular volunteer at the Mission Sikh Temple.
Through my role as a School Trustee, I have built strong relationships with students, parents, and school staff, listening to their experiences, understanding their concerns, and advocating for our community.
My work, volunteer service, and family life have given me the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life across Mission.
I know our community because I live it, serve it, and care deeply about its future.
I believe we can all work together to make it an even better place for everyone.
I’m running for Council because I believe Mission needs leadership that listens to residents, understands the concerns that affect their everyday lives, and turns those concerns into meaningful action.
I want to bring my experience in public service, community leadership, and advocacy to Council and work alongside residents to build a Mission that is safer, stronger, more connected, and more transparent.
Most importantly, I want every resident to feel heard, respected, and confident that their voice matters.
I believe in working together, being accountable, and making decisions with the best interests of our community and our families at the heart of them.
